Offering Support

In today’s quickly changing market, it’s increasingly important to support education for others and those new to the industry. BloomNet is committed to sharing knowledge with our membership base through multiple avenues, like Floriology NOW, the Floriology Institute, hands-on and virtual classes, tradeshow programming, and much more.

In-house, the Floriology Institute in Jacksonville, Florida, has classes scheduled throughout the next year. Our instructors are well equipped, and many are familiar faces—the authors of our floriology articles. Our class list can be found in our What’s on Tap? section.

Sponsoring education for floral designers continues to be top-of-mind. The AIFD Foundation has incorporated its first-ever corporate fund aimed at backing attendance to the AIFD Symposium through scholarships. The scholarships provide nine students who otherwise might not be able to attend with the funds to participate in the show. Every year, the fund will continue to provide support to industry florists for attendance and certification. Two scholarships of note include one that provides the funds to those with an expressed interest in attending the AIFD Symposium and one that provides up to $1,000 for expenses and class registration to attend a PFDE Preparatory Class for a Certified Floral Designer.

We are also sharing stories from our global community. This issue’s On the Edge article discusses those within the U.S. floral community supporting Ukraine.

As we support our community, we thank you for your support of floriology. We appreciate your readership and look forward to sharing with you more content and opportunities to learn in our upcoming issues.
