Consumer research targets houseplant purchases

Since before the COVID-19 pandemic, floral designers have seen customers shift toward purchasing houseplants. According to recent findings from the “Consumer Houseplant Purchasing Report 2021,” published by the Floral Marketing Fund, which provides consumer research for the American Floral Endowment, research backing perceptions about houseplant purchases has been lacking—until now. The “Consumer Houseplant Purchasing Report 2021” provides information about primary houseplant buyers, including why, what, and how they buy. The report measured its results by sending a survey to U.S. residents.
